Seirus Partners with Customer Impact for Retail Merchandising Support During Key Sales Season.

“Partnering with Customer Impact has been such a great experience! They have allowed us to significantly increase our presence in our short winter season and make sure that we get hands on attention and care for our products in store, all across the country.

We take great care in the creation and distribution of our products; so the CI team pitching in at a particularly busy time for ourselves and our retail partners has been extremely valuable for the product presentation. The whole team at CI is great to work with and make on-boarding a breeze. The program with CI, along with the GoSpotCheck app, has made an immediate impact and we are so grateful.”

About

Seirus Innovation is a family business focused on creating premium cold weather gear for the head, hands, and feet. Since the late 1970’s, they’ve been on a mission to protect extremities by perfecting products like rechargeable heated gloves, balaclava face masks, and warm hats. Part of the great success of Seirus can be attributed to their unique R&D culture. Everyone at the company critiques, tests, and designs products in an ongoing cycle of invention and reinvention. This process leads to exceptional products that continue to improve.

Problem

The winter season is a key sales period for a large portion of Seirus products. During these months, it’s essential that in-store floor displays are stocked and well-maintained to provide the best selection and experience for their customers. Seirus partnered with Customer Impact to assist them with this important¬†retail merchandising process.

The focus of this project was to merchandise inventory in several big box retailers across four key time frames. Customer Impact’s field team helped maintain positive product representation in their large, chain-based customers throughout this seasonal period.

Image Capturing

Each individual step of the store visit was recorded using the GoSpotCheck App.

First, the location was verified with an exterior photo of the physical store location. Next, Customer Impact field representatives would take a photo of the Seirus merchandising display as it was found. Finally, an “after” photo was taken of the correctly merchandised display.

Data Gathering

Data gathering is a key component to any successful merchandising project.

Customer Impact field representatives were tasked with answering questions about the location of the Seirus products, including:

  • Store department location of product
  • How the products are displayed
  • Number of units present
  • Number of units in backstock,
  • Number of competitor product removed from Seirus point-of-sale displays
  • Visual damage of Seirus displays

With all of this data, Seirus was able to gain location-level insight into each and every one of their in-store product displays.
