Our company President, Mike Green, put something on our hearts at the last staff meeting.  He reminded us how important it is to give back to our communities.  With spring in the air, it is a great time to get out and see what you can do to lend a hand to someone in need.

Low on cash?  Here are some simple gestures you can do that come from the heart and not the wallet!

  • Share Your Pet – Your pet brings you joy and makes you smile! Think about taking your pet by the local senior center or VA.
  • Double Your Dish – Next time you put a casserole or cupcakes in the oven, consider making two batches. Drop one off at a homeless shelter, group home, or support group meeting.
  • Visit Local Seniors – Lend an ear to a senior. Senior Centers love volunteers! Sometimes you don’t have to do anything other than say hello and listen to some pretty cool stories.
  • Run an Errand – Find locals in your neighborhood who do not have transportation. Offer to pick items up at the grocery store for them or to drop them off at a needed appointment.

Free Poverty – With every correct answer, the site donates 10 cups of water to a poor country on your behalf.

Ripple  – Ripple features a Google-powered search bar, which makes a donation every time you use it.

Short on time, but still want to give back?  Place a coin jar in your office or on your night stand.  Empty your pockets or purse daily and commit to making a donation monthly.  Here are some other great options!
